So I finaly got a chance to wear my homecoming dress again! I love this chevron dress because for one--I love chevron, and two--I love long sleeve dresses. Paired with an army vest and tan boots it makes this outfit more "day appropriate" and versatile.

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I know I did! Of course I'm still recovering from eating mass amounts of pumpkin pie, so what better to wear on the day after Thanksgiving than a dress? --it's both comfortable and loose! I decided to embrace the colors of the season with neutrals and a burnt orange cardigan, which somehow reminds me of pumpkin pie...guess my mind is still on the delicious food from yesterday. Lucky for me, we have leftovers!

I loved this dress when I bought it a few years ago and luckily I found it in the sale section. But, like always, I didn't follow the washing instructions and shrunk it. Luckily, a pair of opaque black tights gives this dress a new life and it is once again wearable rather than balled up in the back of my closet.

I wore this outfit on a recent trip to Norfolk with my mother. We went to the Chrysler Museum to take a look at their blown glass exhibit and just to look around at some of the art...it was really fun and inspirational, not to mention free!

First off, I'd like to say that this dress is one of my best purchases because it is SO versatile. I wear it year-round...in the winter with tights, boots, and a scarf; in the summer as a swimsuit cover-up; and in the beautiful transitioning weather that is September. Anddd not only is it versatile, but this dress is comfortable too--an absolute winner in my book.

I wore this today to run errands with my mother. We went to the post office to mail some packages off, and after we left we drove past the old post office that is attached to a hardware store. Not only does the place have amazing chairs and rugged chains, but I took it as a sign from above that I should take my blog pictures there. (I mean two post offices in one hour is pretty ironic, right?)

Tonight my mother and I had a dinner date at our favorite sushi restaurant, Mizuno. We've been going there for years and the food is always amazing--I'm a huge fan of their inarizushi. 

Because Katina is leaving tomorrow (soooo depressing!), I've enlisted the help of my mom to take pictures for this blog... and I'd have to say she is doing a great job so far! We took the majority of our pics today in my neighborhood, where a gaggle of geese decided to join us.
